When a new sofa arrives the old one has to go somewhere, and a council bulky-waste slot can be weeks away. We collect sofas, beds, wardrobes, tables and white goods from any room in the house, usually within the week.
Upholstered seating now has to be disposed of under the persistent organic pollutants rules rather than landfilled, and we handle that properly. Anything in good condition is offered to local furniture reuse projects first.

How much does sofa disposal cost in Newcastle?
A single sofa or armchair costs £35–£60 to collect and dispose of properly. Several items together are cheaper per item.
Why does sofa disposal cost more than general waste?
Upholstered seating can contain persistent organic pollutants and has to be incinerated rather than landfilled, which costs more at the licensed site.
Are you licensed to take furniture away?
Yes. We are a registered waste carrier, and you can ask for a waste transfer note for any collection. Using an unlicensed carrier can make the householder liable for fly-tipping.
Can my furniture go to charity?
If it is in good condition and upholstery carries its fire-safety label, we offer it to local reuse projects before anything else.
